BACK TO BUSINESS

AW26 Trends: Vogue talks about “playful proportions” and highlights the return of tailoring that is more sculptural, yet also more free-flowing.

It’s back-to-school time at IRINA KHÄ:

Calendars are filling up, computers are turning on, and the offices are coming to life.

This season, the rules have changed, and tailoring is taking center stage: Shoulders are defined, pants are tailored, and layering deliberately blurs the lines.

Statement pieces that are timeless yet fresh: an Acne Studios blazer with a built-in shirt paired with a Dries Van Noten ensemble. Gray and blue blend with brown, and chocolate makes a sparkling entrance. Thot Gioielli’s gold jewelry catches the light and accentuates these autumnal hues—the colors of the new season.

Serious? Yes. Boring? Definitely not!

Fendi Peekaboo

On the desk, everything seems to have found its place.

The Rock & Roll version of Peekaboo, perched on a stack of files, takes center stage. It’s as fresh as this “Future Memories” fragrance by Byredo.

The perfectly aligned keyboard contrasts beautifully with the deep burgundy slingbacks, one of the season’s standout shades.

A touch of color that’s just what we need to get us ready for the new school year.

At Saint Laurent, lines are elongated and tips are sharpened.

Whether leopard-print pumps or burgundy ankle boots, shoes have moved beyond their role as a simple finishing touch to set the tone for the entire look.

Then the day picks up speed and exhaustion sets in:

The phone rings and the computer stays open: Ideas flow, projects follow one after another, decisions are made. That’s it—the new school year has truly begun.

The wardrobe, for its part, keeps pace.

The Janine R13 jeans make themselves at home, while the Max Mara leather skirt makes an appearance at the office. Both come to shake up the classic look—the “Mirror in the Sky” twin-set knit for one, a colorful Dries Van Noten cardigan for the other. And because the play on contrasts doesn’t stop there, Morobé and Saint Laurent take center stage.

A day at work doesn’t mean you have to choose between professionalism and style.

The office becomes a playground.

And somewhere between the first cup of coffee and the last call, business attire stops being a uniform and becomes a matter of attitude.

A renewed energy, the desire to do more, to do better. Because that’s what going back to work is all about: reconnecting, exchanging ideas, and sharing with colleagues and clients. Drawing inspiration from one another, moving forward together, and, ultimately, growing as well.

Because perhaps the most beautiful look is the one our energy brings to what we wear.

And then comes the final step.

One last document to print, a few emails to send, the computer to shut down.

On the printer, the Saint Laurent bag is already waiting to go.

The day is drawing to a close.

As for style, it’s nowhere to be seen.
