Extreme Cashmere: Uncompromising Luxury, One Sweater for All

Irina Khä celebrates this uniqueness through statement pieces that blend raw authenticity with a liberated sense of style.

« No limits, no concessions ». Such is the inscription engraved at the very heart of Extreme Cashmere’s story, born in 2016 from the bold vision of Saskia Dijkstra, who brought with her over twenty years of expertise in cashmere production for renowned houses such as Joseph and Jil Sander. She dreamed of creating a sweater designed on her own terms: flawless materials, exalted colors, and no concessions whatsoever.

After designing her very first model, the “Crew Hop,” Saskia made a striking discovery: this meticulously crafted sweater seemed to suit almost everyone who tried it on. From this revelation emerged the founding concept of Extreme Cashmere: a single size for all, made to embrace “everybody and every body.”

Exceptional Materials and an Infinite Palette

Saskia has always refused to compromise on quality, selecting the longest fibers from Mongolia—less prone to pilling and more durable. She spins them tightly, free from chemical additives, to create a dense, vibrant, and richly colored knit.

The result: over 100 radiant shades, ranging from electric turquoise to candy pink, alongside timeless classics such as navy, grey, and cream. Each garment is a burst of color, an invitation to audacity—sustainable yet minimalist at once.

Everyday Life Reinvented Through Cashmere

Saskia has thus developed a model of stealth retail, where garments are not displayed on racks but revealed in cozy alcoves—velvet, warm carpeting, soft lighting—creating an intimate, salon-like atmosphere.

In Amsterdam, her boutique, inaugurated in early 2025, embodies this philosophy: velvet curtains, a central cozy island, drawers labeled “rails are overstimulating” that cradle the pieces, and seasonal collections presented within an intimate walk-in wardrobe.

Sincerity, Community, Sustainability

From the very beginning, there was a refusal of visible labels: “Anonymous,” she explains, because she wanted the sweater itself to matter, not the brand. This is paired with a philosophy of genuine community, embodied in lunches that bring the team together around a large table, prepared with care and generosity—both in Amsterdam and at gatherings in Paris.

Each garment comes with a detailed care guide, recommending machine wash at 30°C, flat drying, and hand brushing—even offering an in-store cleaning service—because, for Dijkstra, “cashmere loves water, and every wash does it good.”

A Success Built Without Artifice

Without flashy advertising or hidden discounts, Extreme Cashmere rejects sales and favors independent retailers. Its success rests on one thing: the voice of its customers, and the enduring quality of garments made to be worn.

Extreme Cashmere is the story of an uncompromising vision—“the perfect sweater, no concessions,” as its founder puts it. A brand that redefines the codes, making luxury sensual, sincere, and universal. A garment that knows neither size nor gender—just an invitation to feel… simply perfect the moment you slip it on.
